This Bruce of LA photo of Kurt Freeman reminds me of those late Egyptian
and early Greek statues where the subject stared straight forward with arms at side.

  1. Is he oiled down at all? He's so smooth it's hard to tell. The mild (?) lighting adds to his sculpted look, too, don't you think?

    1. One of those cases where "plain vanilla" really works.

  2. Almost a reference man. Yes, very like the Kouros statues.

    1. Thanks for the name of the type. I knew it had to have one.

  3. I've seen this and other photos of Kurt attributed to Denny Denfield. I was disappointed to hear that the Kouros statue on display at the Getty was determined to be a (good) fake, and was removed from display. I think Kurt looks better.

  4. A Kouros of the 1950s. Kurt also posed for Bob Berg, Falcon and Bruce of LA.

  5. Ja, ein Kouros ! Ein so Klassisches Foto, Herr Freeman ist die Verkorperung eines jungen Athleten. Herr Bellas suchte das Beste.
