He was a real pioneer and groundbreaker. Although there are a couple of gay themed artists whose work I like better, none compares in cultural significance to Tom.
Well, that was the "full poison" as I call my evening gin and tonic, with a slice of lime AND lemon - as well as ice. I think that must be the first time I have seen an entire edition Physique Pictorial as published since way back when. And what an edition: Steven Buono AND Monte Hansen AND Johnny Stumps as well as the irrepressible David O'Boyle. Many thanks to Bill D (of California). I cannot thank you enough, Jerry, for the original format presentation. A real trip down memory lane. The sun is not yet over the yard arm - we put the clocks forward last night - but it's 7.00pm somewhere in the world, so: bottoms up!
Gotta love Tom's idealized drawings of the male body!
ReplyDeleteI agree his artwork never failed to turn me on!!!
DeleteTom of Finland was a great artist of male beauty! His work always turned me on! My dream men!! Mike P.
