Horses
I find the man and the horses here to all be nice to look at.
All very pleasing on the eye and my favourite artwork in this series. I think I've said this before but I do enjoy these mixed bag series. Something for everybody.
Yes, I can imagine that it would be a joy to pose with a good horse. I grew up around a well cared for string of horses and always found them to be a delight to both look at and interact with.
The artist had a fine technique in the use of shades and tones of whites, creams, beiges, browns, blacks and hints of blue and green in this work. The painting of the nude male and the horses has an unusual quiet, dynamic quality. Who is the artist? - Rj/IE
I agree, Jerry. But what happened to the tail on that palomino? And the lower part of his legs? The man is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSome owners actually bob their draft horses' tails to keep them from getting caught in harnesses.

Gorgeous. Here, there is, as always, an invitation to compare human and equine musculatures. What an honour to model with a horse.

Unknown, to me anyway.
