This composite I found on line shows Paul Gerrior at the peak of his modeling career in the 1970s and again later in life.  He would have been in his 40s in his heyday, and I find that remarkable.  He kept on acting in community theater into his 80s and married his longtime partner when it became possible.
Rest in Peace, Herr Ledermeister.

  1. Ledermeister was the object of a lot of my young man's phantasies. He was the "cause" of my liking them hairy, hung, and handsome. Well, one of the causes.

  3. Paul Gerrior was one of that unique generation of men who grabbed society by the scruff of the neck, lifted it off the ground and threatened to drop it from a very great height if they didn't get their way. They were provocative, in-yer-face campaigners and they never let up - whether it was via the law, politics or the arts. Gerrior's contribution must not be underestimated and I draw enormous pleasure from the fact that, in the end, he was able reap as he had sown and marry in full equality, dignity and freedom.

    1. So true. The man was more than just a model or a character in a play. He was a real force to be reckoned with on the path to equality.
