Climbing
This student climbing a ladder might please the Bum Brigade.
This is from Animal Locomotion plate 111, called "Ascending ladder." The model is model #30, who has been identified as Penn student Thomas Love Latta, whom I featured in a couple of posts in my blog https://unashamedmale.blogspot.com/2022/10/vintage-athletes-part-30.html and https://unashamedmale.blogspot.com/2022/10/vintage-athletes-part-30.html
Thank you. By marriages, he's my 5th cousin, twice removed. Here are some links to help you find if you are related to Thomas: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Latta-321 https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/K8YJ-RC9 https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/91401033/thomas-love-latta
This proves that contrary to the laws of nature, there is indeed more than one way to scale a ladder!

ReplyDeleteSorry, the second post should be https://unashamedmale.blogspot.com/2022/12/vintage-athletes-part-33.html
DeleteMany thanks for posting your links. Mr Latta was a bit of an inspiration for me. Especially when I found that he was still alive when I was born.
DeleteThis is my favourite in the series here. The graceful climb is captured beautifully.
ReplyDeleteQuite!
DeleteWonderful. I thought it was the splendid Mr Latta.
ReplyDeleteYou were more clever than me. I didn't guess.
DeleteIt's the distinctive, and rather fine rear.
