Group - 1940
I only have IDs on two of these four men. That Charles "Tex" Smutney
at lower left before he bleached his hair, and Louis Forns with his arms extended.
I feel like I should recognize the cross legged model, but I don't. Anyone?
A wonderful range of poses. Each works individually and as a group. When posing in a group, it is easy to feel a bit, well, silly. These are admirably composed.
The composition is indeed interesting. The two guys on the floor might be found naturally just relaxing that way. No one, however, just stands around the way the other two are positioned. The contrast makes it work in some strange way.
Hopefully someone will come along and enlighten us.
