Our Sunday double feature showcases the excellent work of Chuck Renslow, founder of Kris Studio in Chicago. We start with a magazine page featuring Skip Mahoney, a sailor who certainly ticks several fetish boxes for many viewers while reflecting Mr. Renslow's liking for military types.

Jerry, thanks for posting this photo. Any idea of the year the magazine was published and how it was distributed? Could you buy it at a newstand or was it by mail only? I know the laws made things difficult in that era.
ReplyDeleteSorry, I don't have a date for this one. I can venture an educated guess, however, that this appears to be from the time frame in which such material was only available by mail order, which would be pre-1968. Chuck Renslow was a pioneer of both freedom of expression and gay rights, having won a major obscenity case in 1966.
DeleteTicking lots of boxes for me. Especially like the shape of his glans.
