France Day, Part 1 - Five Photographers

Both of Friday's series will feature works from France, one of my favorite countries.
We start with five male nude photos by five photographers.  Our first one is by Louis Igout,
a photographer known for his excellent albums of studies for artists.  I  generally don't
like to post photos with watermarks, but this one was just too good to pass up.

  1. Superb. The usual...what was his day job? Strong man act? Lovely pose, oh I wish I had those arms..

    1. Yes, this is one of those who makes us wish we knew his story.

    2. He looks great. I hope he was pleased with the photograph. I wonder if he had a copy? A hundred years later, we are still admiring him...I know I'd like that..

  2. A beautiful mustache. Perhaps he was military?

    1. Possibly, but Igout wasn't known for using military models. I do have some French photos by other photographers from about the same time labeled as soldiers, though. I'll try to get them on here soon.
