I left this drawing out of a Frederick Leighton series because it was both unfinished and of a more modern style than he usually followed. Those two factors may be related now that I think about it.
Not surprisingly, I'm a big fan of Lord Leighton's work. Might have said, I've visited his studio in Leighton House several times. Just off the studio there is the model's room. It has a fireplace, I always touch the mantelpiece, knowing of all the other models who have touch the same place...sadly no life drawing session are held there.
