John Flaxman (1755-1826) used a burly model for this undated drawing.
Flaxman was better known as a neoclassical sculptor than as a painter.
I love the way his luxuriant bush matches his beard. Also suggestion of a see through pouch? Lovely work..I'm back modelling in two weeks...can't wait..
