Physique Photography's Intersection with Art, Part 1 - George Quaintance

Our Friday double feature will follow a different format today by mixing the art and photography sections to show their interplay.  George Quaintance (1902-1957) was not only a competent physique photographer, but an accomplished artist as well.  His work quite notably appeared on the 1951 cover of the first ever edition of Bob Mizer's Physique Pictorial magazine.  Quaintance's "legitimate" art career (still with varying levels of eroticism) had really begun to take off when he unexpectedly died of a heart attack at age 55 in 1957.  This is his photo of Bob Spahn
