This statue looks like it might have been reassembled from pieces.
"Adonis Mazarin, completed from an ancient torso by François Duquesnoy, formerly in the collection of Cardinal Mazarin, currently held in the Louvre Museum." Sounds like you are correct--the torso is ancient Roman and the rest is newer (Baroque period).
