The setting for this 1960s photo of an unknown (to me, anyway) model
reminds me of the Southern California photographers such as Bruce.
Edited to add: See comments for ID as Reed Phippen by Dave Martin.
This photo was taken in Emigration Canyon, above Salt Lake City, Utah. Reed Phippin lived in Utah at the time. The area today is called Little Mountain. It is popular with bikers due to the incline and ascent whilst in training.
Reed Phippin, methinks.
ReplyDeleteNicely oiled, nice lighting...this one is a "keeper!" And he doesn't disappear into the background.
ReplyDeleteYes, it really does look like a photo by Bruce of L.A.

Thanks! It is indeed Reed Phippen, and I found a copy of it in my Dave Martin files. I never knew Martin went to Utah to work.
DeleteBeautiful guy in a stunning setting. Or even a stunning guy in a beautiful setting. Either way, definitely a keeper.
ReplyDeleteWorks either way.
DeleteHe was Mr Utah. He modeled nude with a hardon! The best shots.
ReplyDeleteNot surprised that he held that title.
