Something about the colours makes this picture very attractive. (Well, so does the model, but...) They're soft and yet clear and bright. Is this a lighting thing?
Probably the lighting, but also could be the film. Kodachrome was almost certainly NOT used here because it tends to make colors deeper and more intense than is commonly natural.
