This photo of Erik Erikson came with Larry's usual well curated notes indicating that it came from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst collection and was sent by Mr. Erikson to pioneering sociologist and black rights activist W.E.B. Du Bois. Mr. Erikson was a noted psychologist who apparently worked out and didn't mind sharing his beefcake photos with friends and colleagues.
Wow! That's one well preserved silver fox and no mistake. Impressive!

ReplyDeleteI actually studied Erikson's theory of human development in college and never knew he had this other side. His ideas on children's psychology still hold up today in many ways.
DeleteI studied his work in high school. Even read Childhood and Society.
DeleteDayum! And to think I studied his work in college. I didn't know about this wonderful side of him. Hotcha!!
ReplyDeleteWho knew?!?!
