Earle Forbes was one of two leading New York photographers who used Tony Sansone as a
model. The other was Edwin Townsend who did about 10 times as many as Mr. Forbes. I had
to use this photo that I posted three and a half years ago because I have already used all the
Forbes shots of Mr. Sansone. (They're that good.) So this is a repeat of a personal favorite.
Magnificent! But then, Sansone was NEVER less than that.
ReplyDeleteNever.
DeleteTwo LEGENDS collaborating together, Forbes and Sansone were quite the team. Forbes artistic and technical skills and Sansone with the artistic interpretation of his own body. Made for great images of the male form.
ReplyDeleteThey burnished the Silver Era of physique photography with gold.
Many physique photographs have the model pose with a globe shaped object, is there any meaning for that? So, classic an image.

As I noted above, ALL of Earle Forbes' photos of Tony Sansone were excellent. There just weren't enough!!!
