Washing
My source said these are German WWII soldiers washing themselves and their clothes.
I wish the big guy at left had taken his pants off like nearly all the others.
I really like these military group shots, Jerry. They emphasize our common manhood, and recall the days when we did not have to be ashamed of our peckers and sacks.
Jerry did you play the state sport of Texas, football in High School? I heard you get dragooned to high school play football in Texas. From your own recoolections is it true they will spend more money on football than anything else involving high school education in Texas? - Rj
No, I did not play football in high school. Our school was large enough (300 students in four grades) to field a team without conscripting all the boys to play. PE was compulsory in junior and senior high school, though. We had a crappy team and had one winning season the whole time I was there. Still, everyone attended every home game and supported the team, bad as they were. Our school did NOT spend more on sports than academics, and I don't know of any that did back then. I think the modern myth of such has come about because of a few schools that spend inordinately, particularly on fancy stadiums.
Jerry, thank you for the reply. So much for the urban legends. They tried to recruit skinny 165 lbs me (at that time) for the wrestling team, even the smallest wrestler would have beaten me. So, I said a definite NO! I would not have felt comfortable grappling and grabbing another guy by his crotch and ass, I don't care if it's the schools Adonis. And no one's grabbing my junk. And those singlets reveal too much manhood, they need to wear jock straps. I was told they don't wear them so as to prevent an opponent from grabbing the straps for leverage. - Rj
