Efficient laundry

I had a widower great uncle who always did his laundry in the nude.  He said it was more efficient because "every last rag I own will be clean all at once."  He lived in the middle of nowhere, so nobody knew when he went outside to hang the clothes out to dry.  The only reason I knew was because my grandmother sent me over there one day with some misdirected mail, and there he was.
