Plastic briefcase
Who takes a cheap plastic briefcase to go lounging naked in the woods?
The briefcase looks like the 80's communist Eastern Europe standard model, maybe someone taking a nude break in the way home? That was not uncommon then, mainly in East Germany.
The same (or very similar) model was sold in the USA. I knew a guy in New Orleans in the late 70s who had one and complained about the low quality. Could the DDR have exported them? Or did they just copy a crappy Western design?
I carried one of these around with me on tour as a stage manager for a small theatre company. It was pretty crappy, but at least it didn't fall apart. I still have it!
The briefcase kinda ruins the arrangement.
ReplyDeleteIndeed!
DeleteAn early version of working from home, maybe?
ReplyDeleteYeah, and he used some of the papers from the case to keep his bum from being in the rocks and dirt.

DeleteWell, Jim, how crappy could it be if it never broke and you still have it?
DeleteI wonder why I still have it (it's just tossed in a closet). I'd certainly be embarrassed to ever use it again!
DeleteLOL, I think we all have some items like that.
DeleteHe obviously told his wife he had a business meeting! Looks like there was a meeting, and probably some "business" as well
ReplyDeleteYeah, funny business.
