Probable "Circle"
These four are thought by many to be from Eakins' circle of students who went on to
pose for and take nude photos either on their own or under his supervision.
I had a slim build when younger and was never thought of as malnourished. But then I had high energy levels and was always on the go so I burned calories rather quickly. Possibly the same for these gentleman.
These males look slightly less malnourished than the previous group.
ReplyDeleteI've long thought that some of Eakins' students looked like they were starving. We've all heard of starving artists, so why not students, too?
