Tennis serve
Tennis was already recognizable as the modern game when Muybridge shot this sequence in 1884.

DeleteState-of-the-art racquet for the day. Love the way that we can see beyond the grid set. A favourite of mine, as I'm from Wimbledon.
ReplyDeleteYes, we can see that the work was done outdoors. The primitive flash photography of the time couldn't come close to handling this type os imaging.
