I posted a different photo of Johnny Connelly about a year ago, and he had less fur and no tan lines.
I think this one was made later because he looks more mature.
For the size of Metecue's catalogue and the comparatively short longevity of the studio, it is quite amazing just how durable Quik's pictures have become. These images are repeated and repeated on various websites and blogs - a testament to his talent and his popularity.
Yes, he was very talented. I think he came into his own just at the time the industry was burgeoning and the market was flooded with similar, but lower quality, material. Later, that talent was appreciated in retrospect.
