Spencer Churchill Day

During a recent British Beef week here on the blog, Spencer Churchill got a lot of positive comments.  So today, I'm giving him his own series.  We start with a composite I made that shows the 1950s practice of drawing in a posing strap to satisfy the censors.

  1. I'm glad that practice has died out, but we still must be vigilant. A lot of people out there want to return to censorship.

  2. Every time I see a picture of Spencer Churchill, my thoughts necessarily stray to the double-barrelled surname associated with the dukedom of Marlborough (pronounced Mawlbruh), and the surname of Winston Spencer Churchill.

There is a confirmed story about the British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and US President Franklin Roosevelt when they met along with their top military and diplomatic advisors at Placentia Bay off the coast of Newfoundland in the August of 1941. (Newfoundland was then a Dominion of the Crown in its own right and not part of Canada.) The two had not been terribly impressed with each other during WWI but both were big enough men to realize that they had to forge a trusting relationship. There is the very moving description of Roosevelt walking assisted along the gangway between their respective ships, to be piped aboard. Later that evening, Churchill was changing for dinner when Roosevelt barged into his cabin in his wheelchair, to find Churchill standing completely naked. Without blinking, Churchill simply said, "As you see, I have nothing to hide from the President of the United States."

It seems his namesake was equally unbashful.

    1. That's a classic story worth reading again. I'm left wondering if the subject of today's series was actually named that or chose it as a stage name.

  3. I hate posing pouches!! I don't want anything obstructing my view of wonderful penises.

    1. While I certainly understand your point of view, there are occasions where artfully fitted and placed posing straps can be sexy. I have several followers who swoon over tight pouches with fur peeping out.

  4. Spencer Churchill along with Reg Park and Keith Stephen one of the "BIG BOYS", (built just like the famous locomotmives)
Spencer would be right up Mae West's alley. (no pun intended)
Imagine Mae West taking her Vegas musclemen revue to Europe with Spencer, Reg Park, John Beels and Robert Duranton.
Mae always liked the big-boys. -Rj/IE
