1950
This 1950 painting by an unknown artist parallels some of the photography
done by photographers such as Lon of New York and Al Urban.
That is a good point. Does make me think of some later “porn” that tried to make it seemed like that had a legitimate purpose like instruction manual or psychological to explain why they had nude men in them. Getting around the “rules”. Very nice piece. The men are quite large for art, which is nice.
In photography, at that time, were 't males required to cover their cocks? Isn't it "funny" that drawings were allowed to show it all?
ReplyDeleteYou raise an interesting point, B.D. I think the laws were not as stiict for art, but material such as this was probably handled privately anyway.
