Tableau

George Platt Lynes produced a number of photos, mainly early in his career, of tableaux.

They were often depictions of Classical motifs, ballet elements, or both.  This one from 1950

 is later in Lynes' career than nearly all the others, and I'd love to know the thematic origin.
