Headless Guy III
Maybe he wasn't finished when this photo was made.
It’s not my cup of tea as they say. I love some tattoos. But I’m not sure beauty was this man’s motivation or compulsion. Almost seems like he couldn’t stop himself. And wouldn’t want to stop if he could. I do wonder if he ever had a sense of satisfaction or completion. Some are always looking for the next one.
Tattoo artistry has come a long way since these photos were taken. I never got one but I suspect there is quite a spiritual experience in getting one, or however many.
I'm not against tattoos, as proof I have two. But too much, and also ugly, it's really not beautiful!!

DeleteDrugs and alcohol aren't the only addictions. Tanning beds, porn, and yes, tattoos, come to mind.

ReplyDeleteI once considered getting the Lion Rampant of Scotland tattooed on my shoulder, but my beloved Bear hated tattoos, so I didn't.
