Edgar Degas (1834-1917) was working as a successful artist when Marconi was still actively
publishing photographic studies for artists. Given the similarities in the works above, we have
to wonder if Degas used or saw some of Marconi's photos. Or was it just coincidence?

A popular and standard pose, but yes, many similarities are there.
