This photo was mysteriously labeled "Nellys," and I had no idea who or what that was. Google
is our friend, however, and I soon found out this was taken by Elli Soguoultzoglou-Seraidari,
a female Greek photographer most active from 1925-35 who went by simply Nelly.
He looks manscaped, doesn't he? But he's built nicely IMHO.
ReplyDeleteAnother fantastic series, Jerry. How do you do it? Thank you.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome!
DeleteYes, I have a copy of this, which is one of a series she shot entitled Μελέτη ανδριχού γυμνού οτην Αχρόπολη (Study of a naked man at the Acropolis), circa 1926-30.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely not the Black rap artist from St. Louis.
ReplyDeleteOr the mediocre (and mercifully defunct) New York psychedelic band, Plum Nelly.
