This 1864 work by Edouard-Bernard Debat-Ponsan includes
a little shadow that a certain viewer will no doubt like.
I still have some very old oil lamps that I used to employ during power outages, and I noticed the difference in their light versus battery operated lighting. I bought a whole house generator last year and don't really need them any more, but I've kept them.
