If Mr. Schillicut weren't tilted to one side, this might have made one of my "Man of Steel" series.
I'm sure I read that he had been in the Navy so the tattoos wouldn't have been that daring or unusual. A strange pose but I really like this photo. Wally's physique is great and this shows his package off a treat.
A touch of The Shadow makes up for the odd pose. The tats must have been "daring" for that era.

Yes, tattoos were more accepted among Navy men, and his most noteworthy is a tall ship.
