I have to be honest and confess that, overall, I'm not a big fan of J. Brian's work. (He didn't make my recent top 12 American physique photographers.) I also have to be honest and admit that I have come across a stunning set of photos that were apparently made by him in a single beach shoot of a model named Bill Davidson. (Not to be confused with a Playgirl model of the same name.) I had a stray picture from the session that I posted over two years ago which caught the attention of Calorman. Today we'll look at ten more, and I think you'll see why I'm quite taken with them.

J. Brian may not have made it into your recent top 12 but I'll always appreciate his work with one of my favourite models - the handsome, hirsute, blond Ivan Prescott. His outdoor photos of Mr. Prescott, some of which you've posted, are stunning.
Talking of stunning photos, I can see why you're taken with Brian's work with Bill Davidson. This is a beautiful photo of a super model ... and I have to add that I love the fiery red bush.

Now I know who I want for Christmas. Lol. The lighting and contrast here are as stunning as the male himself.
Sometimes overcast days work out well for a skilled photographer.
Lovely image. It reminds me of the early 60s. Bill's body represents a lean musculature that seems to have gone. All the better that he is nude. That soft cloudy light is wonderful.
I'm glad you mentioned the cloudy light, because I think it enhanced the whole project.
