Iconic

The last entry in our three days of nudists by the water is
a jogger at a very iconic San Francisco location.

  1. Was there really a nudist beach at that location in those days? Or is this likely lad taking a big risk?

    1. I have read that this particular location tolerated nudity as early as the 1950s, perhaps even earlier.

    2. According to relatives theres been nude beaches there going back to the 1890s. And the lad could have taken a risk due to our arcane laws in regards to nude bathing. Most likely he would not be cited however there are chances he could be due to our arcane laws. -Rj/IE

  2. I've really enjoyed the posts over the last three days, Jerry. The photos beautifully capture the sheer joy of being naked in the sunshine on or around water. Just what we need to bring some cheer at this time of the year!

  3. ... and I meant to add that this lovely likely lad really does have that sense of joy and freedom and sense of ease with himself and his body. Delightful.

  4. Calorman, there are two beaches at Golden Gate Bridge, Baker and Marshalls.
Baker is mixed and Marshalls is gay. They both are clothing optional.
Because they are on Federal lands, nudity is permissible, strange as it seems.
Laws here can be arcane, one year a beach has nudist and no one cares, another year later and moral-crusaders have it shut down.

    2. I want to make clear so everyone knows the Federal beaches in San Francisco allow nudity because of local popularity. DO NOT assume you can go naked anywhere on Federal lands, you can be cited, fined and even jailed. Always check with local and Federal laws. -Rj/IE

  5. That's Marshall Beach alright but the negative has been reversed.

    1. I wondered about that as it seemed the wrong way round.
