Kovert
Even if I hadn't found a Kovert of Hollywood attribution for this photo on a well curated site,
the dramatic silent movie staging would have sent me in that direction.
An unusual pose but it works. I have to say that the package looks beautiful here but then pretty much everything about Mr. Conant is beautiful. One of the very best.
I caught the expressive dance influence, too, but that sort of thing was ten years past its prime in American cultural life by the time this was made. But then again, silent movies were even more passe, and Fred Kovert was obviously influenced by them.
