Unknown Photographers

I often do series where we have unidentified models, but today it's the photographers whom we don't know.  Some of these models are so good (and prolific) that they've had their own series.
We start with a poolside image of John Krivos in a posing strap.

  1. A new photo for me of this perfect specimen. The landscaping is exquisite.

    1. True on both points. This is an amazing photo.

    2. A wonderful image. I'm not generally a fan of the posing strap, but in this case it complements John's pose and splendid physique. Also liking the "mid-century" garden design.

    3. David, I have gradually come to appreciate posing strap photos. On my original blog on tumblr, I rarely, if ever, posted them. Now they're a regular part of many of my series, and this one pretty much proves the case that they deserve inclusion.

    4. This is a stunning photo on so many levels. Much as I enjoy seeing the package, if anything the pouch adds to the appeal in this instance. Whoever the photographer was they did an excellent job here.

    5. Peter, I completely agree that this is one of those occasions where the posing strap probably works better than fully nude would have. Everything in this photo combines to make an aesthetic delight.

  2. Beautiful shot of a handsome male. I like the natural lighting.

    1. True about the lighting, and that's harder to do outdoors than in the studio.

  3. The wooden fence and the foliage with swimming pool, plus brick flooring make me wonder if this is not Bruce Bellas's garden. He used it on a number of occasions for the big draws.

    1. I wondered about that, too, Julian, but the brickwork doesn't match.

  4. Not Bruce Bellas house. You can go to google maps and look up the house on Kensington Road, Rossmoor/Los Alamitos Ca. The house never had a pool.
The house with the pool you see with David Zurborg or Mark Nixon
were taken at the home of one of Bruce's well to-do clients.
The house Bruce lived in is a one story Cinderella tract home of the late 50s.
The house with the pool is two story and of a different style.

    1. Fair comment. I would therefore suggest that it was taken at one of his clients' homes, the point being that it was possibly taken by Bruce Bellas.

    2. Mr. Krivos did indeed do work for Bruce of LA on occasion, and some of that was in posing straps. So I think you could both be correct.
