Mr. Roberts

I sometimes start a dedicated photographer series with a photo of the artist, but this time
I decided to end with Mr. Roberts and his Rolleiflex in the California countryside.

    1. Not that I know of. This is the only photo of him I could find.

    2. Information at the beginning of the second "Mel Roberts Videograph"** says that after his military service he did some posing for an advanced sculpture class at the La Jolla Museum of Art. There are a couple of photos of him accompanying that bit of information.
**Apparently a 'videograph' is someone's idea of what to call it when you put still images on video with a music soundtrack. I have four one-hour volumes of "Mel Roberts Classic Males" videos. They are on DVD, but are copied from VHS tapes, so quality is poor.

  2. I agree with Big Dude, Mr. Roberts was a handsome fellow. I've been enjoying this weeks series but today's was exceptional. Thanks again, Jerry.

    1. You're welcome, Peter. Mr. R is indeed handsome, and I'd love to have a belt like his.

    3. By marriage, he's my 8th cousin. Wait a day and you should be able to see on Wikitree if you are related to him.
