Dave Martin
The Stanford University Center for Art does not name the model in this Dave Martin
photo from their collection. Am I the only one who thinks it might be Mike Sill?
Well, well, well! I checked my Mike Sill photos and indeed it is him. In addition, that backdrop has been added later, and, further still, the copy I have has been signed and dedicated to Dave Martin! The dedication reads: "To Dave Martin, a great Photographer, and a sincere friend. Wishing you the very best in all your endeavours in your field of photography. Sincerely, Mike Sill". I'll send you a copy, Jerry, as I'm sure you'd be interested.
Mike Sill in a dramatic, graceful pose set against a dramatic added backdrop. The original photograph by Dave Martin is more subdued, this image is more striking with its dramatic license. :)
Stunning.
ReplyDeleteThat is one backdrop.

ReplyDeleteI wonder if Stanford U. knows their photo has been altered? And I'm very pleased to have your version, thank you!

I'm left wondering if Mr. Martin did this himself, or if someone came along later and altered it.
