Lon
Lon of New York, aka Alonzo Hanagan, shows up (along with his famous stained column) in no less a collection than that of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Oddly, they don't name the model.
Is it a thing with museums that they don't name paid photographic models? I find it odd that such information is obviously available, but the illustrious Met didn't put it in their records.
I have this model named as Nick de Giuseppe, imprinted on another of the images in this series.
ReplyDeleteI agree, but the spelling I have is 'Di Guiseppe'. The sorts of names are notorious for being spelt differently by whomever.

DeleteI think it is snobbery, plain and simple. The talent of the artiste is fêted and lauded and the model is treated like a piece of meat.
DeleteOf course you're correct.
