Graeco-Roman
Muybridge (or some knowledgeable curator) described the sequence this frame came from as "Graeco-Roman Wrestling." It is often presented as a GIF, and I have featured a different still in the past.
This is really nice! That Mr Muybridge had two naked men in contact with each other, and especially that the models were agreeable to this is absolutely wonderful!!!

DeleteAlways special. We say wrestling, but... somehow other elements are there...A couple of life model mates do this. So beautiful to watch and draw.
