Richard Banks
I'd love to know the inspiration for this 1955 work by Richard Banks. The Hawaiian leis and the pennant carnival decorations don't seem to go together. Whatever else we might say,
Mr. Banks had an appreciation for a fine male derriere.
They used to hang those type of pennants at swim meets. Maybe he’s helping to set up at a swim meet in Hawaii. It is very nice. Like the colors and tone. And he looks so good. And there is that butt.
I really like this. The composition and the use of color is quite nice.

While I got the Hawaii connection, I didn't know about swim meet decor. Thanks!
