This well built guy just does not look like the type who would go out in the bushes and drop his pants for a photo, even an apparently amateur one.
Strange photo because the model definitely works out with weights (noticeable muscle development of shoulders,abs, and upper thighs), and is definitely doing a "vacuum" abs pose, but has both fists tightly clenched. It looks like he's trying hard to not look like he's posing for this photo. He's obviously excited about his not impromptu nude walk in the woods. By the looks of the models grooming, it appears this early attempt at beefcake photography was taken in the late 1920's to early 30's.
