John

This is Playgirl model John Pelico and a cat.  The cat looks pissed off,
and John looks a little bit worried.  Must have been an "interesting" photo shoot.

  1. Did Playgirl ever publish pix of guys with erections?

    1. I think they published some from time to time, always "tastefully" of course.

    2. They went through periods where they faced legal challenges for posting photos of models with partial erections so would avoid publishing such photos for several months. Based on the current Victorian morality of some media and social platforms, I doubt Playgirl would be able to publish today as a print magazine available in mainline retail outlets as it was in the 70s and 80s.

    3. I was a subscriber for a few years in the mid-'90s and at least one photo "essay" in every issue had a guy with a stiffy.

    4. FWIW, the real target is info about Tibet and Xinjiang and Hong Kong and the PRC considering the stans as part of Greater China and threatening to nuke Japan. Porn is just a fig leaf.

  2. In fact, John Pelico really does rather resemble the cat... after all, you do get to look like your pets.

  3. He's holding the cat correctly, and doesn't appear to be in danger of being scratched. The cat looks bored, like the model, and wants to get down. And, yes, I've been around cats most of my life.

  4. Something like 25% or more of the Playgirl models were gay and also appeared in gay porn.

  5. I don't recall this shot with the cat appearing in the magazine. Perhaps this is an unused photo?

    1. Good point, Randy. My source said "Playgirl model" and not "from Playgirl." Could have been unused or from a different publication.

    2. The model definitely appeared and in the same setting but the cat photo must have appeared as an "outtake" somewhere else.

  6. Yes, more than a few of those models were crossovers, so to speak.
