Reclining

I don't have a title for this reclining nude by Tsarouchis.
That peach wall color appears again and again in his work, btw.

  1. I'm loving the bright colours in the paintings too. Lovely warm glow from this particular picture. The peach coloured wall is apt given the models peachy butt

    1. I was wondering if that wall color was common in Greece, but I like your explanation better.

  2. It glows, doesn't it? Where can I see more of this man's works?

    1. From a quick internet search it doesn't appear as if much of his work is available to view outside of Greece. The Yannis Tsarouchis Foundation is based in his house in Athens and has exhibitions and a very good website. He also did some work in the theatre and opera. One interesting piece of information I came across was that he worked in Texas at the Dallas Opera House in 1958 when he designed the sets and costumes for 'Medea' featuring Maria Callas in the leading role.
