Hal
Bruce of LA was quite liberal with the use of a staff as a prop in his work, and this image of Hal Holston is both a good example and a great match for the following drawing.
My favourite in an excellent series. Mr. Holston has a superb physique and looks like a really handsome guy. I'd like to see more of him. Definitely a keeper.
The soft light makes this warm rather than stark. Cool! The shadow on the wall enhances the warmth, IMHO.
ReplyDeleteI agree, B.D. Sometimes less is more, and the shadow does a great job.

I'll see if I have more views of Mr. Holston.
DeleteOh that is superb. I love the alignment of the staff and left foot.
ReplyDeleteOne of the very best compositions and poses of the genre.
DeleteIt is.. what a magnificent back.
