Sprawled
This sprawling shot was taken from a somewhat unusual angle.
Just goes to show Whitman would try out anything new, even camera angles. He seemed to do more indoor work later in his career than outdoor work. His early indoor work was informal and done inside his house. His later indoor work was more formal and done inside a studio. The early indoor work gave his physique models more character....:)

ReplyDeleteTrue. I think he shot his "at home" series in his own home. Is it just me, or did he do less color work indoors than out?
DeleteI think he did his early indoor work in b&w only and in later years did indoor work in both b&w and color, though most seemed to be b&w...:)
