This is an inmate about to be released from a 10 year sentence. Even with time off for
good behavior, he would have to have been very young when he went in. The apparatus at
right is the electrical device used to open and close multiple cell doors. The young man would
have to have been a trusty to be allowed to be where he was photographed.
This is a nice series. But is that a clown tattoo on his chest? Seems like an odd choice for the time and place.

DeleteThat is an extremely good haircut for a prison. Perhaps a barber murdered his wife.
ReplyDeleteYes, it's good, but it was also the most popular style in Texas at the time. The barber, regardless of his legal history, would have had a lot of practice.
