Is he standing on a stump to get a better view . . . or give us a better one?
In my book, both. I am quite sure there was an element of exhibitionism about these men who did all these callisthenics in the nude. The same type is about today, in the modern urban cyclist who has abandoned the golf course to don £500's worth of Lycra.
