Joe Tiffenbach was a handsome model who worked for Bruce of LA and Ralph Kelley. Despite the lack of sand, I know this was made at a beach because I have a nude photo from the same session with some of the same rocks. That one is somewhat rare for Bruce, and I will publish it later.
Joe Tiffenbach is well known to those of us older guys as the publisher of a newsletter in the 70's called "The Uncircumcised Society of America" - it was a meeting place (way before the internet became such a motherlode of information and ease of personal contact) for guys interested in meeting uncut guys specifically as well as the beginnings of what has become a significant movement against infant circumcision in the USA and information for a growing number of cut men wishing to restore their foreskins - while it began primarily with gay guys it was soon discovered by straight guys unhappy with their infant circumcisions and today is a wide-spread movement - Joe was a pioneer who is unfortunately not remembered today just as those pioneer photographers who were the foundations of what we have today
ReplyDeleteI was aware of the movement you mention, but had no idea Joe T. was involved. Seems he was more than just a model. Thanks!
