Hippie Wednesday, Part 1 - Naked Guys
Our Wednesday double feature is all about hippies in a variety of settings.
There were lots of them but they didn't attract the the big names that were popular then like Woodstock did. The most notorious one was Altamonte, where Hell's Angels were providing security. The Angels ended up murdering a guy, which effectively ended that concert and concerts everywhere. The Free Love movement of the 60's had lots of kids stoned and naked in parks in lots of big parks in large cities.
There were a few non-murderous festivals after Altamont such as Atlanta International Pop, but no one was stupid enough to hire Hell's Angels for security.
Woodstock? It has the perfect blend of mud, dope, and nakedness to fit this photo.
