John Tanton

I'm including this painting (John Tanton Writing in my Studio, 1955) as an example of the sort of work that Peter Samuelson did most often.  He painted dozens of charming pieces that feature attractive young men, mostly in and around his family's rooming house, but also in other places.

    1. He was content to live off the income of the family holiday letting business, but he was convinced to do some successful art shows in the last decade of his life.
