Bob Anthony

In the first of a series of obscure photographers named Bob, we see Bob Anthony's photo
of Al Agar (or is it Agor?) in a somewhat classic pose on a balustrade.  A little research has
left me wondering about the extent to which Mr. Anthony was actually a photographer.
Multiple searches have found far more references to him being the publisher of Champ
Magazine.  Having said that, this photo sent by Bryan is quite clearly labeled as his.

  1. The man is very handsome...do you have any frontals of him?

  2. I managed to find one frontal photo of Al Agar taken by Pat Milo on another blog site which includes the words Male, Model, Vintage and Beefcake. Mr Agar looks great in it. A certain Big Dude left a comment complimenting the model on his equipment ... and I don't he was referring to the camera that Mr. Agar was holding!

    2. OK, I just did a search of my files, and the frontal nude of Al Agar showed up. My source, however, said that it was by Lyle Frisby. Now that doesn't exclude the Pat Milo element, however, because Milo and Frisby were business partners. Some say they were also life partners, and Milo published many of Frisby's photos after his untimely death.

  4. It seems Al Agar's (Agor's) real name was Al Pogorzelski, as he was photographed at AMG in 1958 as Al Pogorzelski.
